Quite possibly one of the best memoirs I've read (and I've read a lot). @fernfrombathgate has written something incredibly special and eye opening. I can't recommend it highly enough... Go get a copy!

I set myself a goal to finish book 2 of my romance

I set myself a goal to finish book 2 of my romance series (Java & Jazz) by the end of active cancer treatment and I just made it! 🎉 The book was finished in early August, and following editing, proof reading, cover design and finishing touches, it's ready and Two Steps Forward is out today! Available in paperback, eBook and on KindleUnlimited.

As always, I've had amazing support from family and friends, not just with my writing, but life in general. I can't thank you all enough. ❤️ Time for a lie down before I start book 3!

😷 My chemo rash looks like it's improving and the cream has worked wonders. Hoping it stays that way 🤞🏻
🧠 Sleep is not going to come easily for my little noggin so I am highly likely to be awake until the early hours
✍🏻 This will give me time to carry on with the romance novel writing I did this afternoon. I've had some valuable feedback and I need to incorporate that
🤫 I have an incredibly exciting writing project starting up. It has been a little seed for about 18 months, but is fully starting to sprout 🌱 and I can't wait to see where that goes

A birthday 🎂 Sunshine with family 🌞 More book editing ✍🏻 Exciting concepts for book cover arrived 📕 Round 6 of chemo done 💪🏻

My liver has NOT behaved 😔 so I've been moved onto weekly chemo. Although grateful to my wonderful oncologist for being so thoughtful about looking after me and my organs!

I had the first session of paclitaxel yesterday. 9 more to go if everything goes to plan 🤞🏻 But as we know with cancer journey, when does anything go to plan?!

This week will be busy properly sorting the book cover art (I'm so excited to share more soon as I already love what I've seen) and more editing as I want to get the book out in early May if possible. Hoping the chemo side effects don't bugger up my plans.

It's been a fabulous weekend ❤️ Staying with family for a couple of days felt like a real treat - a bit of normality away from treatment. My next chemo is on Friday if my liver plays nicely. I also managed a very slow run 💪🏻

I've completed some book edits since the development feedback, so One Month's Notice has now gone out to beta readers. The feedback is very positive so far 💕

While I wait for more feedback before the next round of edits, I need to crack on with sorting a book cover and my marketing strategy. Definitely out of my comfort zone on this one 😳

Happy World Book Day to you all!! I have had, quite possibly, the BEST DAY EVER!! I am a governor of a local primary school and I wanted to spend the day with them doing something fun with writing.

So I spent the whole day, starting with a whole school assembly to generate ideas. I then had half an hour with each class writing a chapter each to move the story forward.
📖
We started at 9am, and 6 hours later, I stood up and read our 2,500 mystery story to the whole school. It was incredible and the kids had the most amazing ideas.
📖
I've just emailed the final version to the headteacher while travelling down south ready for a day in a Bristol school tomorrow!

I’m excited to announce that Owlet Press has created digital versions of Little Glow and The Cats Who Wanted More for people to buy on eBook devices. This is already proving a popular way for people to get hold of the book, particulary in other countries where rights deals to publish physical editions are yet to be agreed.

Although children’s books are more suited to the physical format, eBooks are a great way for families to take lots of stories on the go when it isn’t possible to take the original copies.
